
Professor Tabelech “T.K. the Chemist” Shipp is an award-winning chemistry educator with over 30 years of experience helping students build confidence in science. Known for her engaging and easy-to-understand teaching style, she specializes in breaking down complex chemistry concepts into simple, real-world applications—especially for pre-nursing students preparing for the TEAS 7 exam.
She holds a Master of Life Science with dual concentrations in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Maryland at College Park and a Bachelor of Science in Professional Chemistry from North Carolina A&T State University. Throughout her career, she has taught students from early education through the collegiate level, including courses such as Pre-Chemistry for Nurses, General Chemistry, Biology, and Anatomy & Physiology.
Professor TK is passionate about making science accessible and believes every student can succeed with the right strategy, support, and guidance. Her work extends beyond the classroom through curriculum development, STEM outreach, and empowering underrepresented communities in science.
